Reports reaching us indicate that the staff of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) have halted their activities to embark on strike. The offices at the Abuja headquarters are shut down.
The staff protest “illegal deductions” of their salaries allegedly made by the management of the Commission.
The CAC is responsible for regulating the formation and management of companies in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, lawyers who wanted to settle their affairs left the office in the Maitama District of Abuja frustrated.
One client says the workers will not carry on with their duties until the management stops deducting their pay illegally.
The spokesperson for the Commission is currently not available for comments.
More details soon.
